One North Shore

Lucia Chastain and the ladies of the One North Shore Book Club welcome the author to a private discussion and book signing.

Aine and Lucia first met in January 2006 at the beginning of Aine's journey to write Birth Cry.  Lucia had just lost her first husband and, still grieving, had bravely launched out in her RV,  traveling across the USA with her little dog Keily--crying, laughing, writing, and healing.  Aine had left her job as a psychotherapist, crisscrossed across the country with her cat, and came across this little lady gazing at a red-rock sunset from an overlook halfway down the winding Oak Creek Canyon road leading to Sedona.  They've been heart friends ever since.

Book Signing with Aíne and Phylis

"I had the honor to bear witness to such courage in Aíne as she shared story after story with me, re-experienced the trauma, fought off the demons and perpetrators, cried, screamed, vomited, shook with terror, whimpered, froze, and ultimately stood her ground, claimed her place in this world and triumphed....Each one of the Spirits of Fire is like a shining, sparkling light dancing across the ocean."  Phylis J. Wakefield, PhD, from the Foreword
